After a fraud

Evidence pack

The police, your bank and cybercrime.gov.in ask for the same things in the same order. Fill this in once and hand over one clean sheet, with what is still missing pointed out.

First, protect the evidence

Do not delete the chat, SMS, call log or app. Take screenshots first, then leave everything as it is.
Do not reset or wipe the phone. If an unknown app was installed, switch the phone to flight mode and keep it for the police to examine.
Save each screenshot with the date and time visible. Note the time in IST.
Write down what was said while you remember it. Details fade within a day.
Do not call the fraudster back, and do not send more money to "recover" what was lost.
