Good to know
- A UPI QR code only ever sends money out. You never scan one to receive a refund, prize, deposit or “verification”.
- Stickers pasted over a shop's real QR code are a known fraud: check that the name shown on the payment screen is the shop you are in.
- A QR code in a parcel, a parking ticket or an unsolicited message is a link in disguise. Check it here, or type the address yourself.
